So the PSS 680 was rather more powerful than could often be expected for a keyboard of this type. It has a pretty impressive digital synthesizer section, which can make a wide variety of sounds right on the board itself, and it can also be fully edited using a midi editing program.
The PSS 680 uses 2 op fm, but it has an advantage that it can use 4 source waves for both the modulator and the carrier. This gives more sonic flexibility especially when using the editor.
